Experts at SophosLabs, have reported that online casinos are using nudity to draw computer users using spam that lures them to enter online gambling websites.
SophosLabs' anti-spam products were updated to protect against spam campaigns that try to tempt internet users to enter a casino website, but not a regular casino website.
Clicking on the link provided in the spam mail takes users to a gambling website which plays a video featuring its live nude dealers, and encourages the users to register.
It seems that while casinos in Las Vegas give out cheap or even free alcoholic beverages to lower the mental abilities of the gamblers, online casinos do not have that luxury, so they try to distract gamblers in other ways.
Those sites are risking being sued and are even in danger of breaking the law. Sending unsolicited spam, especially one containing or leading to nudity and pornography, usually does not go unnoticed.
Last month, SophosLabs reported how two companies are having legal action taken against them following claims that emails that promoted gambling and alcoholic drinks were spammed out to children.
