NBC announced that the new poker show, Poker After Dark, will air in the United States on January 2nd at 2 a.m. ET, according to Marc Graboff, President of NBC Universal Television.

The hour-long show will be hosted by model and poker host Shana Hiatt. Hiatt hosted the World Poker Tour (WPT) from 2003 to 2005 and has also appeared in the movies Grandma's Boy and Must Love Dogs.

Poker After Dark will air nightly Monday through Saturday and will feature six poker professionals competing for a grand prize of $120,000.

Among the poker professionals are Daniel Negreanu, Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Erick Lindgren, Gus Hansen and Jennifer Harman.

The show will be set in the back rooms of several Las Vegas known casinos and will try to give viewers a glimpse of what it's like to be a poker professional. The show will focus on one table each week, as it develops and culminates with a winner on Friday night. Saturday's show will be the "director's cut" version with highlights from the past week, including commentary courtesy of the week's winner.
