Siegfried & Roy, among Las Vegas's most famous entertainers have been immortalized at Las Vegas` 4-mile long Walk of Stars.
The duo's star was unveiled on Tuesday, which was incidentally Roy's 62nd birthday.
The pair Siegfried & Roy, Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn first met in 1959 working on a German ocean liner. They were born in Germany and later immigrated to the United States and eventually became citizens. They have performed 30,000 shows in the past 30 years, 13 of them in the Mirage.
The Walk of Stars ceremony in their honor was held outside the Mirage hotel and casino, where Horn was attacked and nearly killed by one of the pair's tigers. He was in critical condition for a few weeks and even now still has a bit of difficulty to walk and with his speech.
The performers received police escort to the Walk of Stars while waving to the audience that gathered to watch the ceremony. Horn thanked their many fans for their concern for his health and their appreciation of their work.
"And now I realize what love is and what life is all about," said Horn over the podium to the cheering audience.
