Vasilios and Chryso Dalamangas, whose son, Pangiotis Dalamangas died on January 1998 at the age of 23, after he was held on the ground during a dispute with the security staff at Star City casino in Sydney, Australia. They are suing the casino for an undisclosed amount of damages for breaching its duty of care, according to couple's lawyer, Phillip Mahony.

In 2000, at the request of his family, a jury was asked to determine the cause and manner of Dalamangas's death following a six-week inquiry.

The jurors found the restraint hold applied by security officers compressed his neck and chest which, combined with severe heart disease, led to asphyxia. The jury determined that the bouncers had used unjustifiable force.

The hearing on the damages will begin tomorrow.
