Three people are facing charges regarding a sophisticated robbery, in which they allegedly stole $198,000 from a California Indian casino.

The Cher-Ae-Heights Casino in Trinidad, Humboldt County, which is operated by the Trinidad Rancheria tribe, was robbed on November 1. According to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco the alleged robbers were Daniel Ivan Porter, 37, Peter Daniel Collins, 35 and Emily Katherine Weitzel, 22.

The affidavit indicates that Porter, who worked in the casino's surveillance room, was the inside contact which they used to get access to keys to the vault's doors. Weitzel, wearing a wig and sunglasses, got the keys from him and passed them on to Collins, who was dressed as a casino security guard.

According to authorities, the suspects did a dress rehearsal at the casino the night before the robbery.

According to court records, authorities identified the suspects in part by tracing Porter's phone records. Weeks before the robbery, Weitzel and Collins changed their address. A search of their new home uncovered a briefcase with $151,500 under their bed, the affidavit said.
