A new casino in Pennsylvania owned by Harrah's Entertainment, one of the largest casino operators in the world, is recruiting employees of a recently closed Wilmington nightclub.

Kahunaville on Wilmington's Riverfront closed unexpectedly this week. Yesterday, when employees stopped by to collect their last paychecks, officials from Harrah's Entertainment were there, conducting on-the-spot job interviews.

Harrah's Entertainment is set to open its casino in Chester, Pennsylvania, on January 19, and it has more than 700 job openings in various positions. Harrah's Chester is actually a horse racing track but following the casino license that was issued for it by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on September 27, it will become a casino at the beginning of next year.

Kahunaville owner David Tuttleman said he was excited when Harrah's Entertainment called to express their interest in his employees.

George Coates, a cook who worked at Kahunaville for six years, said that this initiative from Harrah's Entertainment represents a wonderful opportunity for all of Kahunaville's former employees.
