Lynn Bennett, the owner of the famous Sahara Casino in Las Vegas died at the age of 64 in her home in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Bennett was the widow of Las Vegas gambling industry pioneer William Bennett and has been a part of the casino's management since his death in 2002.
Ron Garrett, Sahara Casino's director of marketing, Ron Garrett said it was uncertain who would next own the Moroccan-themed casino.
The Sahara Casino, which was founded in 1952, is one of the first casinos to open on the Las Vegas Strip and was actually used as the set for the 1960 version of Ocean's Eleven. A roller coaster and the NASCAR restaurant were added to the hotel & casino in 1999.
Bennett was recognized for her philanthropy associated with the Bennett Foundation and was dedicated to animal rights.
