888.com, one of the biggest online gaming companies in the world, announced a poker software licensing deal with Georgica's, owner of Rileys, the largest chain of snooker and pool clubs in the United Kingdom.
Rileys is preparing to add live poker tournaments to the offerings of its 168 clubs. 888.com, the operator of Casino-on-Net and Pacific Poker, is using its online poker capabilities to support Rileys' website and clubs, which enjoy a current membership of 525,000 customers.
The two companies will promote the new venture through both online and offline initiatives, including poker league tables, regional events and a televised national poker tournament. It will be first combined online and offline poker offering of its kind in the UK.
Rileys and 888 will develop the www.rileyspoker.com website, which will be powered by 888.com. The poker site will be promoted by Rileys within its clubs, to its existing members and by recruiting new club members.
