Jamie Gold, winner of the 2006 Word Series of Poker, has reached an agreement with a former partner who sued him for half of his $12 million prize.

Gold and TV producer Bruce Crispin Leyser have agreed to settle a dispute between them over the $12 million grand prize of the tournament. They signed a joint statement Tuesday, in which they agree to resolve the issue without litigation.

According to the statement, Gold, a former Hollywood agent, always intended to share the prize with Leyser and they have fully settled the matter. They did not disclose how much would be given to Leyser; however Gold has already received half of the prize - $6 million.

Leyser said Gold agreed to the split the WSOP prize in exchange for Leyser helping him find celebrities to play in the main event and endorsing on online gambling site.

At a December court hearing, U.S. District Court Judge Roger L. Hunt rejected a motion by Gold's lawyers to lift an injunction set in September on the funds still at the tournament host, the Rio casino-hotel, and ordered the $6 million be transferred into an interest-bearing account.
