The World Series of Poker is going to get a boost in the form of a new group of top players that will collaborate with WSOP management.
Eight top professional poker players will form a new International Players Advisory Council that will help the WSOP to improve the player experience for registrants who come from outside North America
The players are: Gus Hansen, Joe Hachem (winner of the 2005 WSOP Main Event), Marcel Luske, Willie Tann, Ben Roberts, Andrew Black, Donnacha O’Dea and Isabelle Mercier.
Wendeen Eolis, a prominent poker player and business executive, will serve as the new council's chairwoman. Serving as the council's executive chairman is Commissioner of the World Series of Poker, Jeffrey Pollack.
The WSOP brand is owned by Harrah's Entertainment, one of the world's the biggest gaming companies. The World Series of Poker 2007, the biggest poker event of the year, will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on June 1.
