Google No Longer Accepts Online Gambling Ads in the UK

Google announced Wednesday, June 6, that Google Adwords, the biggest search engine's advertising service, will no longer allow advertisement in the UK for free play online gambling websites.

Online casinos and poker rooms that offered users to play free casino games were able, up until Wednesday, to advertise on Google Adwords since only advertising pay-to-play online casinos was not permitted by Google.

Google has become the first search engine to ban all forms of online gambling advertising from their ad service.

Online gambling sites use these free play sites to gain traffic and gather marketing information from players. Currently, the only remaining major search engine that still accepts  advertising for play-to-pay online gambling sites in the UK is MSN.
