San Antonio Spurs point guard, 25-year-old Tony Parker, was chosen the MVP of the NBA Finals Thursday, June 14.
The San Antonio Spurs won the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Parker contributed 24 points in the Spurs' 83 to 82 win in game Four. Parker shot 57% while averaging nearly 25 points a game in the Spurs' 4-game sweep of the Cavaliers (he scored 27 points in Game 1, 30 in Game 2, 17 in Game 3 and 24 in Game 4.
The Belgium-born NBA star became the first European player to be selected MVP of the NBA Finals.
On top of his NBA career, Parker is also famous for his relationship with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. They set their upcoming wedding to non other than July 7, 2007 – the lucky 777 day.
