Caesars Palace, The flagship property of the Harrah’s corporation in Las Vegas, released plans for a 1 billion upgrade to the property.
The highlight of the expansion will be the addition of a sixth hotel tower.
Called The Octavius it will house 665 rooms. There will be many higher end suites within the structure. The company is going to upgrade hundreds of its oldest rooms.
Operating income in 2006 was up 63% from the prior year for the resort.
The redesign is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2009.
Caesars has plans to expand the brand in Bahamas, Slovenia, and Spain.
