According to a well placed source in Atlantic City's Trump Plaza, the dealers union vote held by the Trump Marina property will be voided and another vote will be held within two months.
Management had earlier defeated the UAW by a total of eight votes on May 11. The union had filed an objection with the National Labor Relations Board.
Although full details are not yet available, early reports are that management at the Marina had pursued a campaign of harassment coupled with a program of preventing equal distribution of pro-union literature.
Since the landslide union victory at Bally's Atlantic City the union push has been quiet. Speculation has been that the next vote will be either at Tropicana due to turmoil caused by the massive layoffs or at the Taj Mahal, as it is the remaining Trump property not having held a vote.
Other reasons may be that the union has been seeking to overturn the vote at the Marina and is defending results of the Bally's vote as management there filed an objection.
