Trump Plaza Loses Appeal to Cancel Dealers Union

Trump Plaza hotel and Casino's attempt to overturn the decision reached in the Dealer Union election held March 31 was denied.

Last Friday, a National Labor Relations Board judge declined to overturn the elections results, saying the casino had not met its burden of proof.

The casino claimed that the election was unfair, due to questionable conditions. The Trump Plaza argued that the United Auto workers (UAW) collaborated with the government in order to misleadingly imply that the UAW was already their representative and that the labor board is in favor of the union.

The UAW has so far won elections at Trump Plaza, Bally's Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City but lost at Trump Marina Hotel Casino and Atlantic City Hilton. The UAW's goal was to organize dealers at all 11 casinos in Atlantic City.
