Revel Entertainment, a new casino corporation, revealed plans for their project located north of the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City.

Its casino floor space will be over 168,000, only slightly smaller than Bally’s Park Place. The Bally’s floor space is divided between the Claridge, Wild West and Bally’s Park Place. Revel’s project will be one single casino under current plans.

This project, scheduled to open in 2011, will have with full development 4,000 hotel rooms and suites. The rooms will be divided between two towers. Kevin Desanctis,
the chief executive officer, has stated that it is too early for the corporation to decide to build both towers at the same time.

Investment firm Morgan Stanley is backing Revel Corporation. Desanctis, a long term casino executive, has a deep background and impeccable credentials holding positions with Trump on the east coast and several positions in Las Vegas.

Expectations for the project are that it will do for the inlet area of the town what the Borgata has done for the Marina district.

As far as retail, dining and entertainment space the complex will have over 500,000 square feet of stores, restaurants and events centers . For visualization, those of you who may have visited the Tropicana’s Quarter will know that the Tropicana complex is only 200,000 square feet in comparison.

Architectural renderings are to be presented within one week.
