MTV are seeking online poker players for a forthcoming episode of True Life Chronicles, the show which chronicles the strange and unusual lifestyles of young people. News of this announcemnet first appeared on the poker site 2+2, and while it was met with scepticism at first, the True Life producers have confirmed that they are looking for young talent.
The show is considering a number of other online lifestyles, not just online poker players. They are looking for people who lead interesting and unique lifestyles when contrasted against their online gambling – perhaps people such as Heather 'H2Bling' Wells – a Team Bodog WSOP Europe VIP qualifier who leads a 'double life' as a small business owner and a mom of a young baby.
This isn't the first show to consider poker players – the CBS show 'Survivor' featured a pro poker player, Jean-Robert Bellande – along with a flight attendant, and a gravedigger. Bellande was eliminated from Survivor recently, but will be returning to the show occasionally as a member of the jury.
If you would like to appear on True Life, and are between the ages of 18-28, then you should contact brosen@LeftRight.tv with your story, age, and a photograph.
