Police made a raid on a 20 person poker game at a home in the Eichler Highlands of San Mateo. The game, which apparently took place every Saturday afternoon, was part of a gambling operation that had been under surveillance for several months.

Two people were arrested as part of the raid on the home, which was located on Lexington Avenue. They were local resident Cutberto Cardenas, and Patricia Kathleen McCoy of Burlingame.

California Dept. of Justice agents and a team of deputy sheriffs raided the home under a warrant, and seized three poker tables, chips, and playing cards, as well as $1,300 cash.

Authorities were alerted to the operation after several neighbours had complained about parking problems and people going in and out of the house. A check on the occupants led authorities to a web site advertising weekly poker games, which required a $25 to $55 buy-in and a small 'refreshment' fee.

A 13 year old was found in the home when the raid took place, and has been taken into custody by the San Mateo County Child Protective Services. Cardenas and McCoy face charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Cardenas was also charged with fraudulently obtaining money under false pretences.
