888.com has launched their biggest poker tournament ever – The World Poker Crown.
This new global poker tournament began yesterday, and will run until May 10th, offering a guaranteed prize pool of more than $3,000,000 – with the first prize being $1,000,000 and the World Poker Crown.
The buy-in for the tournament is $1000 + $50, but players can take part in satellite tournaments at PacificPoker.com to qualify for entry to the tournament – the satellite buy-ins are as low as $1.10.
The $3 million prize pool will be distributed amongst 10% of the players.
The top 8 players will take part in a televised event in Barcelona, with each player being allowed to take one guest, and being given free transport and accommodations. The finals will run from 6th May to 10th May, with the event airing on May 12th on Sky Sports 2.
