Almost three weeks after three gunmen raided a country club poker game and robbed the players of a total of $10,000, a Delaware State Police trooper has been arrested in connection with the crime.

One of the first clues leading to the arrest was that one of the card players had said that a Delaware State Trooper was among the victims, but the trooper left the scene before police arrived.

The Delaware State Police have recently announced the arrest of HyunJin Kim, aged 27, and a Trooper First Class. He was charged with 11 counts of robbery as well as wearing a disguise during a felony, and possession of a weapon during a felony.

HyunJin Kim is being held at an unidentified correctional facility, and his bond was set at $240,000. The police are continuing to look for three other men that they believe were accomplices in the heist, which took place at the Wild Quail Golf and Country Club on February 22nd

Armed men burst in to the country club, and ordered players to get down on the ground, giving them red pillow cases to cover their heads. The men took about $10,000 in cash from the players.

Kim had been recorded on a surveillance tape at Wal-Mart purchasing $18 worth of pillowcases. The tape provided authorities with enough evidence to search his home, and they discovered receipts for the pillow cases, along with keys belonging to two of the victims.

Cpl. Jeff Whitmarsh, a spokesman for the Delaware State Police, said "Our worst-case scenario at any time is having to arrest one of our own. But we hold ourselves to high standards and sometimes it's something we've got to do."
