After an exciting week, the World Poker Tour's LA Poker Classic final table has been decided. The end of Day 5 saw the field reduced from 665 players to the top six, with pro players and casual players alike falling by the wayside as the $10,000 buy-in tournament progressed. The day three money bubble seemed like a distant memory as chips continued to fly thick and fast.
The final table includes some big name players, as well as some lesser known players aiming to become a World Poker Tour millionaire.
The table, which will being play at 5:00 PT, includes:
1. Quinn Do
2. Nam Le
3. Phill Hellmuth
4. Phill ivey
5. Charles Moore
6. Scott Montgomoery
Phill Ivey has a substantial lead over the other players, with 4,100,000 in chips. Scott Montgomery and Phill Hellmuth are also comfortably established – holding 2,680,000 and 2,380,000 in chips, respectively. Hellmuth narrowly avoided elimination after losing a 5.6 Million pot to Ivey, but clawed back to a comfortable position when he eliminated Wei Kai Chang towards the end of the day, putting him once again in a strong position.
The chip counts for the final three are Charles Moore (1,510,000), Quinn Do (1,450,000), and Nam Le (1,180,000).
