The 888.com World Poker Crown launched yesterday, with 2,214 players in the running for a piece of the $3 million prize pool, with a $1 million prize for the person to take first place.
The online poker tournament ran for 11 hours as the field was reduced to ten players. Those ten will be flown to the offline final table competition, which will take place in Barcelona, Spain in ten days time.
The 10 finalists include players from Canada, Holland, Italy, Poland, and Germany, and will enjoy a VIP trip to spain, including flights, a helicopter to take them to the Peralada Castle Resort three nights accommodaiton in the 5 star Peralada Hotel, and luxury, star treatment at the organised events.
The winner will walk away with the $1 million prize, and there is a total of $3 million to be won for the 10 finalists.
