New Hollywood Film To Focus On Casino Heir

Two famous faces are set to star in Sex & Lies in Sin City, a film which focuses on the events surrounding the suspicious death of a casino heir.

Mena Suvari - famous for her appearances in American Beauty and American Pie - is to appear alongside Matthew Modine in a new casino movie set in Las Vegas.

Sex & Lies in Sin City is a Las Vegas-set movie based on a Jeff German book called Murder in Sin City.

It follows the story of the trial of ex-stripper Sandy Murphy (Suvari) and her con-artist boyfriend following the death of wealthy casino heir Ted Binion in 1998.

Binion, who was the heir to the famous Binion Horseshow casino in Vegas, was found dead in his home in the city, leading to an intriguing tale of madness and deceit.

"Much like a trip to Vegas, this movie is a guilty pleasure," said Lifetime senior vice president of original movies Tanya Lopez.

It "captures all of the true crime story elements and the madness that surrounded Ted Binion's life", she added.

Other recently-released films portraying what goes on in Vegas include What Happens in Vegas and blackjack movie 21.
