It would appear the Leeds public will have to wait until September for the new £13 million casino at Clarence Dock to open.
Developer London Clubs International (LCI) has indicated that its newly-constructed casino in Leeds is likely to open around September time this year. The four-storey building, which cost £13 million to build, was due to open in December 2007 but has been delayed while LCI looks to add more shops and eating places to the development.
Commenting to the Yorkshire Evening Post, LCI representative Maria Slater said that the casino in Leeds will have "incredible facilities".
"Had we opened last year there would not have been as many shops and bars and retail there and it would have been more difficult for us, so that played a part in our decision [to delay]," she added.
LSI already has a number of casinos across the UK, including the Rendezvous developments in Brighton and Southend, as well as Manchester235.
Visitors can play a wide variety of table games at the venues, including roulette, blackjack and poker.
