Frank Rijkaard has been installed as 2/1 favourite with 888sport to replace Avram Grant in the Stamford Bridge hot seat.

Chelsea are searching for a new manager after deciding to sack Avram Grant in the wake of the Champions League final defeat to Manchester United.

The Israeli took charge at Stamford Bridge in September last year following the dismissal of the club's most successful ever manager Jose Mourinho.

Grant guided the Blues to second place in the Premier League and to the finals of the League Cup and Champions League, but his reign was accompanied by almost constant speculation suggesting club owner Roman Abramovich wanted to replace him.

Abramovich has now gone halfway towards doing just that, but appears to have no firm plan in place to bring in a successor.

Ex-Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard is the 2/1 favourite with 888sport to be Chelsea's next manager, but has previously indicated he intends to take a break from the game following the end of his successful spell at the Camp Nou.

Russia coach Guus Hiddink has distanced himself from the vacancy, but media speculation continues to link Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini, Manchester City's Sven-Goran Eriksson and ex-Chelsea striker and current Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes to the post.
