A man from the small town of Woy Woy got to face one of the all-time Australian cricketing greats at the poker table.
Nathan Perry, a poker player from Woy Woy in New South Wales, has been treated to a game of cards with former Australian cricket legend Shane Warne. The event, which involved Mr Perry, his friends and Warne sitting down to a game of poker, while being served pizza and beer by a waitress, was organised by online gambling site 888.com.
Warne is the captain of the 888 Poker team and he was on hand to take part in this event, dubbed the 888 Poker Ultimate Home Game tournament.
Online gamblers at 888.com also have the chance to win a package to play at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Matt Robinson, 888.com's marketing director, said: "888.com's Ultimate Home Game online poker tournaments became very popular in Australia, attracting poker and Shane Warne fans from across the country."
The online gambling website wanted to give poker players "the thrill of a lifetime" and allow them to play alongside Warne at the 2008 WSOP, he added.
Former Kent cricketer Min Patel recently claimed he wanted to follow Warne into the professional poker arena.
