Ameristar Casinos Announces New Recruit

Ameristar Casinos' Council Bluffs complex to have new vice president in place for Monday June 16th.

Gambling group Ameristar Casinos has announced that Brent Willits will be the new vice president and general manager at its Council Bluffs resort from the beginning of next week.

Mr Willits will be leaving behind his job as vice president at Harrah's Bossier City Horseshoe and taking the place of Teresa Meyer. Ms Meyer herself is retiring after 13 years at the firm.

Announcing the news, senior vice president of operations at Ameristar Casinos Michelle Shriver called the new recruit "an experience casino executive".

She added that the company was "thrilled" to have Mr Willits join the team and hoped that the qualities he has shown in various casino roles would stand him in good stead for his new position.

In addition to the Council Bluffs development, Ameristar Casinos has properties Kansas City and Vicksburg, among other US cities.
