Greco does not want to be just another poker celebrity, he wants to win.
Former EastEnders actor Michael Greco has been signed up by gambling website Littlewoods Poker and will represent his new team at poker tournaments around the world. The man who played Beppe Di Marco in the popular BBC soap has proved himself to be hit on the poker circuit in recent months.
Just last week he reached the final table of a World Series of Poker $2,000 (£1,000) pot-limit hold'em event and earlier this year he won the Cardiff leg of the GUPKT.
Commenting on his win in Wales, which won him £100,000, Greco told his new employers why it was important to be successful at the card game.
"I was pleased with that because it made people realise I wasn't just another celeb catching the poker wave, I could actually play," he told the site.
Australian cricketer Shane Warne also signed a poker deal recently, teaming up with online casino 888.com.
