It is not just the gambling that attracts people from the UK to Las Vegas, according to a casino magazine editor.
British people love going to America's number one gambling city Las Vegas for the gambling and the "razzmatazz" that comes with it, it has been suggested.Casino Review magazine editor Phil Martin has said that there always seems to be someone he knows saving up to go to Vegas or talking about gambling in the city.
Despite Asian territory Macau overtaking the Las Vegas Strip in gambling revenue last year, Nevada's Sin City is apparently still a renowned destination for people in the UK.
"[Macau] is the biggest gambling destination in the world but I think with Vegas the appeal for British people isn't just about gambling, there's obviously all the razzmatazz that goes along with Vegas as well," said Mr Martin.
He added that it is mainly Chinese people who visit Macau to gamble.
The most-recent figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board show that overall gambling revenue in the state was down 1.52 per cent in March 2008 when compared with the equivalent month one year previous.
Revenue on the Las Vegas Strip was down 4.82 per cent, while Downtown Las Vegas saw an increase of two per cent.
