Las Vegas-based casino company has been recognised for the options it offers graduates.
Some of the employment programmes offered by casino group Harrah's Entertainment have been commended by a career magazine.Diversity Edge Magazine named the company 11th out of 20 in its list of the Best Companies for Diverse Graduates 2008, but was particularly full of praise for its management schemes.
The Las Vegas-based firm is apparently good at turning students into professionals. It is the second time the company has been acknowledged in the space of a few days, after chief diversity officer Fred Keeton picked up the Advocate of the Year accolade at the National Asian Entrepreneur Award night last week.
Kizzie Bozeman Brown, editor-in-chief of the Diversity Edge Magazine, remarked: "We were particularly impressed with Harrah's numerous leadership development programmes."
Leadership and training initiatives are vital for integrating students into the working world, she added.
