The celebrity women at the World Series of Poker had a tough time over the weekend, with several famous women from the TV, film, and music world getting knocked out of the Ladies no-limit Texas Holdem event on the first day.
One of those eliminated was actress Jennifer Tilly, who became the first celebrity to win a gold bracelet at the World Series of Poker back in 2005. This time, she wasn't so lucky, and busted out in the first hour of the tournament – which had a $1000 buy-in, after she failed to make a flush, and lost out to a straight.
Camryn Manheim of 'The Practice', and 'Ghost Whisperer' fame was ran out of the field when her pocket kings lost to the pocket aces of pro poker player Linder Johnson, also known as the First Lady of Poker.
Other eliminations included Cheryl Hines, best known for her role in HBO's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', and country singer Mindy McCready.
There were a couple of celebrities missing from the field, including Teri Hatcher, who failed to attend for personal reasons, and Shannon Elizabeth (best known for her role in American Pie), who was unable to attend the event because she was still involved in a $10,000 7-card poker tournament that overlapped the Texas Hold'em event.
