Some of the poker tables at this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas are green in more ways than one.
It is not just the felt that is green on some of the WSOP's poker tables this year – the materials used to make some of them are eco-friendly.EGM Green, the company behind the sustainable tables, has provided the poker tournament with a selection of its products.
Made from a combination of wood, formaldehyde-free paints and water-based adhesives, the poker tables have been made with environment in mind.

Indeed, the 'green' group's website encourages casino-owners to buy these new tables because "patrons will appreciate [the] use of eco-friendly products".
The site also claims that making the tables in such a manner "can significantly reduce volumes of waste and decrease use of natural resources and lower impacts on ecosystems".
