A Texas Fireman is nervous about facing the stars in his Texas hold'em poker game in Las Vegas tonight.

A Fireman from Texas will be going head-to-head with some recognisable faces from the world of poker tonight, as he aims to make the most of his prize to play Texas hold'em at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Casey Billingsley, who works for the Midland Fire Department, won through to poker's top tournament in May and now the moment of truth has arrived.

Speaking to MyWestTexas.com, the amateur player said he was feeling nervous about sitting at the same poker table as some of the people he hears about in the media.

And trying to come to terms with the fact he will be "sitting down with the pros", he added: "I'll probably see some of the people I see on TV - and they'll probably be sitting at my table."

Mr Billingsley won his $10,000 (£5,000) seat at the WSOP after he was victorious at the Permian Basin Poker Tour's year-end event. Winning online poker tournaments is another way players can qualify for the poker tournament.
