Non-profit poker organisation is providing fans of the game with the opportunity to contact those who make decisions regarding the future of poker.
Poker players attending this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) have a number of opportunities to "express their love" of the card game to those who set the laws. The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has established a selection of advocacy booths across the venues of the Las Vegas-held WSOP, allowing people to make their voices heard and get in touch with poker policymakers.
When entering the booths, poker fans may come across some of the game's professionals, who will be signing autographs at various stages of the tournament.
Perhaps the main advantage of the stalls is the fact that visitors have a number of political advocacy tools at their disposal.
According to the PPA, people can: "Send emails to Congress, register to vote, sign our pro-poker petition to lawmakers and tape video testimonials."
The PPA's main aim is to fight for favourable poker laws that provide card players with a safe, secure and regulated arena to play the game they enjoy.
