Russian player wins $1,500 no-limit hold'em event in Las Vegas poker tournament.
The World Series of Poker's (WSOP's) event 27 was won by Russian Vitaly Lunkin earlier this week - the first time the player has picked up a winners' bracelet at the famous poker tournament.Lunkin takes home the $628,417 (£315,000) first prize after triumphing in the $1,500 no-limit hold'em event in Nevada gambling capital Las Vegas.
When it came down to the final day's play, there was always going to be a new WSOP champion - as none of the nine players at the final table had ever succeeded in picking up a bracelet before.
Brett Kimes finished in second place, while other relatively unheralded players Bobby Firestone, Kenneth Terrell and Trevor Donaldson made up the top five positions.
