The Virgin Poker Festival will be held in Nottingham this year, on June 28th and 29th. Previous versions of the festival were held in Birmingham, and in Newcastle, and proved extremely popular. This time the festival will be held in Dusk Till Dawn, the first Poker-Only venue in the UK, and the largest poker room in Europe.
The festival will allow 270 players to compete for the £32,000 jackpot in a two-day live poker tournament. The Main Event is a EUR 150 Texas Holdem No Limit Freezeout tournament, with 10,000 starting stacks and 40 minute levels. £5000 will be added to the prize pool for the main event.
Players can compete for a chance to win a seat at the tournament via a live satellite tournament on Sunday 22nd June at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club. Joe Legge, a poker manager for Virgin Poker, said, "Having found a recipe for success in Birmingham and Newcastle, we're excited to announce that the next Virgin Poker Festival will be taking place in the premier poker club in Europe. Whilst some will be up to their ears in mud at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend we'll be getting competitive and enjoying the thrill of a live tourney with the chance to win a share of our great prizepool."
