Black Enterprise (BE) magazine has named US casino group MGM Mirage in its 40 Best Companies for Diversity list.
The gaming industry has been represented in the latest 40 Best Companies for Diversity list from BE magazine, with casino group MGM Mirage acknowledged for a number of its working practices.From the research undertaken by the publication, it was clear that MGM Mirage takes its diversity efforts seriously, according to BE editorial director Sonia Alleyne.
The firm's diversity champion training programme, which is the first educational scheme of its kind in the gaming sector, was commended, while it has also performed well in a variety of other areas.

Ms Alleyne explained: "Having fostered an environment where diversity is an imperative, they have excelled in all four key areas - supplier diversity, senior management, board involvement and employee base."
There were only two companies who hit this target in 2008, she added.
Earlier this week, Computerworld magazine named MGM Mirage in its list of the 100 Best Places to Work In IT.
