Six-figure prize won by golfer at a poker tournament in the city of Gary, Indiana.
A prize of $206,273 (£103,000) was picked up by a golfer playing a poker tournament this week.Shane Sigsbee took home the winnings from the Heartland Poker Tour at the Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana.
The champion is a regular on the amateur golfing scene and went off to play in a US event the day after his poker victory, reports Card Player.
US Open 2008 runner-up Rocco Mediate is another golfer who likes to play poker when he gets the chance - he has appeared in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas before.
Some 480 players took to the card tables of the Indiana casino, but it was Sigsbee who prevailed to take the biggest share of the prize purse.
He finished ahead of Jason DeWitt and Frank Berrettoni, who won close to $103,000 and $61,000 for finishing in second and third place respectively.
