American singer finished in the top 12 per cent at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event in Las Vegas.
Country singer Andy Griggs outlasted his fellow American celebrities at poker's most glamorous competition last week. The music star finished in the top 12 per cent of the 6,844 card players who entered the WSOP main event, reports Country Hound.
He even had time to entertain the fans and some of his fellow players halfway through the tournament - offering his rendition of the US national anthem, as well as one of the hits from his album The Good Life.
Griggs' official website claims the music icon's poker contest was over when he went all in pre flop with a pair of fives and his opponent had a nine-six, before flopping a six.
The final table of nine players, which does not include any celebrities, will meet in November to battle for the first-place prize of around $9 million (£4.5 million).
