Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler among the star names showing what they can do at the poker table.
Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Sandler were all in Las Vegas this week to take part in an annual poker tournament that raises money for charities in Darfur, Africa.The three Hollywood stars were joined by US celebrity Montel Williams, a selection of poker professionals and many more famous faces for the Ante Up For Africa event.
Annie Duke, herself a professional card sharp, and actor Don Cheadle ran the competition, which also attracted poker faces Phil Hellmuth and 2008 Aussie Millions main event runner-up Erik Seidel.
American Pie actress and regular celebrity poker player Shannon Elizabeth was another of the personalities involved in the fundraiser.
Reflecting on the ability of Affleck in particular, World Series of Poker bracelet winner and general commentator on the game Barry Greenstein claimed on his website that the Armageddon and Pearl Harbor star improves his skill levels every time he sees him play.
