Northern Irish DJ admits that he played bingo and did not find it easy to keep up.
The numbers read out at bingo halls are announced rather quickly, according to BBC radio DJ Colin Murray.Speaking on Radio 5 Live on Wednesday, the Northern Irishman revealed that he went for a night at the bingo a couple of months ago and noted the speed of the calling.
Murray is currently filling in for Simon Mayo on the news and sport station and brought up the story about his bingo experiences after the channel's political correspondent John Pienaar broadcast live from a Glasgow numbers game venue.
The radio presenter, who also fronts the football coverage on television channel Five, said: "I found it hard to keep up."
A number of the candidates in this week's Glasgow East by-election have involved bingo in their campaigns.
John Mason, the Scottish National Party representative, was at a bingo hall in the city on Friday to address potential voters. Following this, Labour candidate Margaret Curran made one of her final speeches outside a local bingo venue.
