A UK bingo winner has described her love for the game after winning £30,000 at an Ipswich hall.
Bingo is a "lovely" game, according to a numbers game-playing pensioner from Stowmarket.The 65-year-old bingo enthusiast, who won £30,000 playing the game this month, also called it a "friendly" pursuit.
Wishing to remain anonymous after her big win, the bingo fan's name has not been revealed but she has spoken to the National Bingo website about her experiences.
Her five-figure victory came at the Gala Bingo club in Ipswich and she plans to share the prize with her sister-in-law. Some of the money has also been earmarked for a cruise down the Rhine.
"Everybody cheered and shouted when I won. There was a wonderful atmosphere," she explained to the site.
The same news service also revealed this week that one player from Thringstone in Leicestershire has been nicknamed 'Bingo' due to her love of the popular game.
