The National Bingo Game has handed out the latest in a series of five-figure prizes to a woman in Hertfordshire.
A woman from Hertfordshire has become the latest person to strike it lucky on the UK's National Bingo Game. The 39-year-old won more than £60,000 while playing at the Gala Club in Waltham Cross after completing a full house in just 42 calls.
She told the Hertfordshire Mercury she was shocked by her success, although she soon recovered sufficiently to plan a spending spree.
"We're going to take a holiday abroad, pay off some bills and thoroughly enjoy the money," she told the newspaper.
The National Bingo Game has given out a succession of high-value prizes in recent times, with several winners collecting jackpots worth more than £1 million.
Christine Bradfield of Merthyr Tydfil made history in January when she won the first ever seven-figure bingo jackpot.
However, her £1.1 million reward was soon surpassed by Scottish cleaner Soraya Lowell, who won £1.2 million while playing at Club 3000 in Coatbridge in March.
