Poker player reveals her secrets

A Yorkshire poker player has said that she has learned how to read people in her job as a hypnotherapist.

A job as a hypnotherapist has taught one poker player how to observe people's behaviour.

This has consequently helped the card game enthusiast at the table in poker tournaments across West Yorkshire, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Rose Owen, a 52-year-old mother of two, told the newspaper that her employment involves her trying to get people to stop smoking and conquer their fears.

And in doing this, she analyses people, with "everything about them" telling her something.

"When a client's sitting in front of me I'm looking for signs that tell me how they're feeling and whether or not they're nervous," she explained, which is a situation reflected at the poker table.

This comes after the Poker in the Park event in London this month was dubbed a success due to the large crowds it attracted. The festival involved various poker tournaments being played and was also visited by a number of poker professionals.
