More British Bingo Winners

Four more bingo players have collected five-figure jackpots on a national networked game.

Four more gamblers had reason to be thankful for the National Bingo Game after collecting five-figure prizes last week.

One of the lucky winners was 70-year-old Sheila Stanley from Ellesmere Port, who won almost £19,000 during a night out at Mecca Bingo in Birkenhead.

She told the game's official website that she planned to split the money with her daughter and spend some of her half on a cruise to celebrate her golden wedding anniversary in November.

Mrs Stanley added: "I may also use some for another nice holiday next year. If I like the cruise in November then it may be a cruise again."

The other three winners have chosen to remain anonymous. The most successful of them was a man from Airdrie who scooped a £36,000 jackpot at Club 3000 in Coatbridge.

A pensioner from South Shields won £28,000 at the town's Mecca Bingo hall and a 53-year-old woman from Kent picked up a £34,000 reward at the Gala Club, Chatham.
