Laern about poker online

Novices and regular players alike can learn about poker following the launch of Poker For Dummies on the PC.

Hints and tips about various forms of poker, including Texas hold'em, are now available via a new source.

Gaming firm EA's Casual Entertainment Label has got together with Beanbag Studios to bring Poker For Dummies to the PC. They have been permitted the licence to do so by Wiley Publishing, the group behind the For Dummies book series.

And it is not just new players who will benefit from the game. Seasoned poker people will apparently enjoy what the product has to offer.

In a statement this week, the collaboration stated: "Poker For Dummies features tutorials and game play for Texas hold'em, Omaha and seven-card stud, and is sure to entertain and educate poker novices and enthusiasts alike."

Those interested can download the game from EA's online gaming portal pogo.com.

Poker tips will also be available from professional players at the Poker in the Park festival in London, which runs next weekend

Irish Poker Open winner Neil Channing will be on hand to share his knowledge of the game with visitors.
