Asian Poker Tour, which started in the Philippines, to head to Macau and Singapore over the coming months.
The Asian Poker Tour heads to Macau this month, while there are currently plans being made for the poker series to move on to Singapore later this year.According to My Paper, poker delegates are currently in Singapore trying to get a licence to hold the Tour event in the country.
If permission is granted, the nation will host a poker tournament as part of the series, which started in the Philippines in May and checks into Macau on August 27th.
Christopher Parker, chief executive officer of the Tour, is apparently spending this week trying to view and confirm the venue for the poker competition.
Mr Parker has told the newspaper that he would like the Asian Poker Tour to become an even bigger affair than the World Series of Poker, which is held in Las Vegas each year.
Asian gambling markets appear to be growing at present, as Macau recently became the highest revenue-generating gambling destination in the world.
