Some of the world's top poker players are to take part in an unusual tournament in London.
Poker stars Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari and Neil Channing will appear on UK television screens when Five broadcasts Poker Den: The Big Game III next year. The PartyPoker-sponsored event will see some of the world's top players compete in a non-stop 36-hour $10,000 ($5,300) buy-in tournament in London.
Eddie Hearn of the event's organiser Matchroom Sport said that extending the event from its previous 24-hour duration to 36 hours would prove a real test of stamina for the players.
"Some players have boasted that they can go the full 36 hours without a break - and that I can't wait to see," he added.
Among those taking on Irish Open champion Channing will be a selection of players familiar to UK poker audiences, including Tony G, Dave Ulliott and Roland de Wolfe.
They will also face some big names from across the Atlantic, including 11-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Tilly and Mike Matusow.
