A 43 year old East Texas woman has won big on the slot machines. The woman, identified as Melissa Gail Ray of Jacksonville, Texas, won nearly $2.2 million at the Eldorado Resort Casino in Shreveport.
The Eldorado Shrevport casino resort runs several promotions each month, including weekly Hold Rush Slot Tournaments with $3,000 prizes, as well as poker and blackjack tournaments. They also run a Shreveport Slot Reward program which rewards regular players on their slot machines.
Melissa Gail Ray won $2,158,363 on the state-wide progressive MegaJackpot while playing on a Wheel of Fortune machine on Wednesday. The Wheel of Fortune slot machine is one of the casino nickel-play slot machines.
She says that she stills plans to continue working at her job as an Air Conditioning Brazer, and plans to put her winnings towards paying off her car and other debts.
