2009 Poker After Dark Series Hosted By Leeann Tweeden

The 2009 season of Poker After Dark is going to be taped at the Golden Nugget's new events center, called the Grand. The series will feature poker stars such as Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Howard Lederer, Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Phil Hellmut, and Gus Hansen. The stars will play a mixture of six handed high stakes cash games, and freezeouts where the winner takes all.

Play begins on October 26th, and will be hosted by Leeann Tweeden, former Playboy model and FHM cover girl, as well as host of Fox's 'Best Damn Sports Show Period'. Tweeden is the third person to host the Poker After Dark show.

The show will start airing on December 29th, on KHNL

In related news, the Golden Nugget recently started construction of a new $160 million tower, which will be 25 stories tall, and will feature a shopping area, a gaming area, and three levels of parking, along with 524 guest rooms, and a Chart House restaurant complete with a 7,000 gallon saltwater aquarium. The new tower is expected to open in December 2009.
